Discoloration on the underarms, bikini line and inner thighs is a concern many clients carry quietly, and few menus offer a professional answer.

This certification teaches a timed peel protocol with corrective serums and home care: how to read the pigment, which clients to take, and how to work each area. Train in Fullerton or live online, with a DBH educator coaching you on a model.

Pass the assessment and submit two before-and-after photos, and you're certified to offer clients the look of more even tone, built over a short series.

WHY TRAIN WITH DBH

Six reasons to get certified here.

Discoloration on the body is common, and easy to make worse with the wrong approach. This certification teaches the protocol and the judgment together: one standardized protocol, one kit, taught on a real client with a DBH educator checking your passes, timing and margins.

A DBH SIGNATURE PROTOCOL · TAUGHT LIVE ONLINE AND IN FULLERTON, CA

  • 01

    A peel, not a bleach

The protocol pairs a timed professional peel with corrective serums and creams, and the peel doesn't need to visibly peel to do its part. Every product in the kit is formulated without hydroquinone, and no device is involved.

  • 02

    Pigment science you can use

The types of discoloration, the four questions that decide whether it's yours to work on, and the conditions to refer out. Most of class is spent here, because it's what protects your clients and your license.

  • 03

    Built for the body

Each area gets its own timing, pass count and enzyme blend, and folds and sensitive margins are protected with a barrier mask. You learn which areas are never peeled.

  • 04

Home care is half the result

Every client goes home with a corrective routine for morning and night. It keeps the look even between sessions, and it builds retail into every booking.

  • 05

The kit pays back the tuition

Most DBH pros charge $200–350 per treatment. The 10-treatment kit alone covers $2,000–3,500 in bookings against $1,900 tuition; the 35-treatment kit, at $2,500, covers $7,000 or more.

  • 06

You're not on your own after class

Our education team and your DBH rep are there for questions, forms and reorders after class, you get protocol updates as the technique evolves, and every product the service uses is available to you at wholesale.

BEFORE YOU ENROLL

Questions before you enroll

Who can enroll?

Licensed estheticians, cosmetologists and dermatologists, medical aesthetics professionals (RNs, NPs and PAs), and students currently enrolled in a licensing program. We verify your license or enrollment by email after purchase, then send your class confirmation: the Fullerton address and parking, or your private class link and kit shipping details.

Can I offer this service in my state?

It depends on your state. DBH and DICA don't authorize anyone to perform services in a given state, and completing the class doesn't by itself give that authority. Check with your state board, or legal counsel, before you enroll.

Is this the same as Brazilian bleaching?

It's what many clients call Brazilian bleaching, but it isn't a bleaching product. The class teaches a professional peel protocol paired with corrective serums and creams for the look of more even tone on the body and bikini area. Every product in the kit is formulated without hydroquinone, and no device is involved.

Which areas does the class cover?

Underarms, the bikini line and Brazilian area, inner thighs, buttocks, elbows, knees and the neck. You learn how to adjust for each area, how to protect folds and sensitive margins, and which areas are never treated with the peel. The face is covered in other DBH classes.

Can I take this online? What do I need?

Yes. Choose an online date and the class runs live by private link in the same educator-led, hands-on format as Fullerton. Your kit ships to you before class. On the day you need your model and a second camera (a phone is fine) positioned on the area you're treating, so your educator can see your work.

Do I need to bring a model?

Yes, for both formats. The hands-on portion is the full protocol on a model you bring, with your educator coaching. You choose the treatment area together; an intimate area isn't required for the demonstration. If you're training in Fullerton and can't find a model, tell us when we confirm your booking.

Which kit should I choose?

The 10-treatment kit is the place to start. The 35-treatment kit carries more of each protocol product plus White Cotton Cream, for practices ready to book the service regularly, and it lowers your cost per treatment. Both include the same supplies.

How do I receive my certification?

Complete the class, then take the short open-book assessment our office emails you; a perfect score is required, and our education team goes over any missed question with you. Then submit two before-and-after photos of a treatment you perform, taken with your client's signed photo release. Once both are in, your certification is issued.

Who is this for, and who isn't it for?

It's for clients with localized discoloration on the body, such as the darkening that friction, shaving, waxing or deodorant can leave on underarms, the bikini line, inner thighs, knees and elbows. It isn't for pregnancy, active herpes or other infection, open sores, eczema, psoriasis or dermatitis in the area, allergy to glycolic, lactic or salicylic acid, high blood pressure, recent waxing, laser or injectables, or discoloration with an internal or medical cause, which class teaches you to recognize and refer.

What do clients feel, and what's the aftercare?

During the peel, clients feel warmth and tingling. Afterwards some flake or peel lightly over the following days and others don't; the result doesn't depend on peeling. Aftercare is a written sheet reviewed in class: leave the product on until the next day, no shaving, waxing or exfoliating for several days, avoid heat and heavy sweating at first, sun protection on exposed areas, and the home-care routine morning and night.

How many treatments, and when do clients see a change?

Most pros book a short series spaced about four to five weeks apart, with home care in between. Clients notice a more even look that builds across the series; how many sessions depends on how deep the pigment sits, which class teaches you to judge. Results are cosmetic; this is not a medical treatment and doesn't treat any condition.

What are the payment options and class policies?

Affirm and Shop Pay Installments are available at checkout, or hold a seat with a $100 deposit and pay the balance before class begins. Rescheduling or cancellation must be requested at least 72 business hours before class; requests inside that window carry a $150 charge. We don't offer refunds, returns or exchanges on classes once purchased, whether partially completed or completed. If you have a special situation, reach out to us.
