A treatment plan is only as good as the analysis behind it. Without a consistent way to read the skin, recommendations come down to guesswork.

This live online class teaches DBH's three-step consultation: gather the client's history, find where each concern sits in the skin, and build a six-treatment plan with matching home care.

You finish with a digital certificate of completion and a system that gives every client a clear plan for the look of healthier skin.

What you'll master

DBH's consultation system, from the first question to the next re-analysis, taught live by a DBH educator:

- Gather: the intake conversation, the Fitzpatrick questionnaire, consistent clinical photos, and what to look and feel for during cleansing

- Analyze: skin type, Fitzpatrick, texture, Glogau scored area by area and acne grade, then where each concern sits in the skin and which to work on first

- Plan: a six-treatment plan that builds from light to deep and back, with home care matched to skin type, skin-health needs and concerns

- Track: a prevention, maintenance and correction grid that follows each concern from one analysis to the next

WHY TRAIN WITH DBH

Six reasons to learn skin analysis here.

Most estheticians learned skin types and Fitzpatrick in school. This class turns that knowledge into one organized consultation, from the first question to the home-care plan to the next re-analysis, taught live by a DBH educator.

A DBH SIGNATURE CLASS · TAUGHT LIVE ON ZOOM

  • 01

    No machine needed

You learn to read the skin with your eyes and hands, the intake form and consistent photos. Analyzers are optional, and the system doesn't depend on one.

  • 02

    One system, start to finish

Intake, analysis, the six-treatment plan and home care all run through the same set of forms. Every client gets the same thorough consultation, and nothing depends on memory.

  • 03

    Expectations you can keep

Under-promise, over-deliver. Consistent photos and a re-analysis every three to six treatments show clients how their skin's look has changed, and give you the reason for the next plan.

  • 04

    Analysis inside your scope

This is a cosmetic skin analysis, not a medical diagnosis. You learn which intake answers call for a gentler plan or a pause, and you keep your analysis to how the skin looks and behaves.

  • 05

    Built for your menu

You work through DBH's sample spa menu and package pricing, and how a written plan moves clients from one-off facials to a six-treatment series with home care.

  • 06

You're not on your own after class

Our education team is there for questions after class, from your first consultations to the forms and the products behind your home-care plans.

BEFORE YOU ENROLL

Questions before you enroll

Who can enroll?

Licensed estheticians, medical aesthetics professionals (RNs, NPs and PAs), and students currently enrolled in a licensing program. We verify your license or enrollment by email after purchase, then send your class confirmation and private Zoom link.

What does the certificate of completion mean?

It shows you completed the class: a digital certificate, issued when you finish. It isn't a license or a credential, and it doesn't change what your license allows you to do. There's no exam.

How does the online class work?

It's a live class on Zoom, taught by a DBH educator, not a recording. Your private link arrives by email before class. The educator shares the slides and forms on screen, walks through worked examples, and takes questions throughout. Your camera is optional.

Do I need a model or any equipment?

No. There's no hands-on portion, so no model is needed, and you don't need a skin scanner or lamp. The system is built on the intake form, observation, touch during cleansing and consistent photos. A computer or tablet with a steady connection is all you need.

I learned skin types in school. What's different here?

The pieces will be familiar; the system that connects them is what's new. You learn which questions to ask and why, how to rank what you find, how to turn it into a written six-treatment plan with home care, and how to track each concern across re-analyses.

Is skin analysis the same as a diagnosis?

No. It's a cosmetic analysis of how the skin looks and behaves, inside an esthetician's scope. Class covers which intake answers call for a gentler plan or a pause before treatment. Medical concerns belong with a physician. This is not a medical treatment and doesn't treat any condition.

Does the class use DBH products?

The analysis system works with any professional line. The home-care step is taught with the DBH line: matching products to skin type, skin-health needs and concerns, with a reason for each. Detailed product training is covered in DBH's other classes.

What do I receive?

The DBH client forms behind the system (intake form, Fitzpatrick questionnaire, consent form, model release, and the product recommendation and plan-of-treatment forms), DBH's sample spa menu with pricing guidance, and your digital certificate of completion.

How will this help my business?

It gives every client a written plan to follow. A six-treatment plan with matching home care is built to turn one-off visits into a series, and a re-analysis every three to six treatments gives clients a reason to start the next one. Class also covers menu and package pricing using DBH's sample spa menu.

What happens after I pay?

You'll get an order confirmation right away, then an email from our education team to verify your license or enrollment and confirm your class date. Your private Zoom link follows before class. Other than any remaining balance, nothing else is needed before class day.

Is there a payment plan?

Yes. Affirm and Shop Pay Installments are both available at checkout; choose either at payment to see your monthly options. You can also hold a seat with a $100 deposit and pay the balance before class begins; the deposit applies to your tuition.

What is the rescheduling, cancellation and refund policy?

Rescheduling or cancellation must be requested at least 72 business hours before class; requests inside that window carry a $150 charge. We don't offer refunds, returns or exchanges on classes once purchased, whether partially completed or completed. If you have a special situation, reach out to us.
