Benzoyl Peroxide fails more often from a bad start than from being too weak. Skin that meets it every night from day one has usually quit by week two.
BPO 5% is the strength written for grade 1 and 2 acne. Enough to clear the blemish and the congestion around it, applied to the spot rather than the whole face.
Breakouts settle and pores look clearer. Keep it away from Retinol and Vitamin C in the same routine, since it oxidizes both on contact.
